Exciting contrasts
Respectful renovation for a most distinctive farmhouse. I particularly wanted the exciting contrasts between old and new to come to the fore. That demanded gumption on the part of the inhabitants, and an ability to adapt on mine; for example, with the magnificent carpets and the robust dining table that completely harmonises with the house. The upstairs room became a home office. Bespoke was a must in this instance, given the strongly deviating formats.
